Injuries and accidents happen. How you respond to these situations is of critical importance.

The nature of the injury comes first.

For serious injuries, call 911 and render immediate aid, as needed. Injuries may include, but is not limited to, severe lacerations or blood loss, loss of consciousness, heart attacks, and serious fractures.

For other injuries, first aid may be provided, and the individual taken to the emergency room or urgent care, if required.

Documenting the incident is second.
