The Office of Evangelization and Catechesis is committed to forming, equipping, and supporting those who minister to young people in our parishes. Recognizing that youth ministry leaders play a vital role in the spiritual development of adolescents, we provide training, mentorship, resources, and networking opportunities to help them grow in both pastoral skill and personal faith.
Rooted in God’s divine pedagogy—the patient and loving way God forms His people—our approach emphasizes relationship, accompaniment, and formation that is faithful to the Church and responsive to the real lives of teens.
As St. John Paul II reminds us in Catechesi Tradendae:
“It is indeed a duty, laid upon the Church by the Lord, to give catechesis to youth and adults, with a view to bringing their faith to maturity” (CT 20).
In this spirit, we walk alongside youth ministry leaders as they foster environments where young people can encounter Christ, grow in faith, and live as joyful witnesses to the Gospel.
