J.O.I.N. provides emergency assistance to families throughout the Diocese of Columbus and functions under the Office of Catholic Charities.
Our assistance includes prescriptions, personal care and household items, diapers, birth certificates, and utilities.
Birth Certificate assistance requires a referral from an agency that is to be emailed to [email protected].
The referral must be on the agency’s letterhead and include:
Name, date of birth, state of birth and reason for need. If the person is a minor, it must also include the parents name and date of birth as well.
Out-of-state birth certificates require an appointment.

Utilities are addressed through phone interviews only, 614-241-2530.
Gas and electric: April through October, Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9a-noon.
Water: All year round.
