African-American ministry answers the baptismal call to build up the Body of Christ in the Diocese of Columbus by promoting sound catechesis, advancing spiritual growth, and assisting in the evangelization of the African-American community.
It is also the goal of this ministry to promote diversity and social justice awareness within the diocese while working to bring to fruition the pastoral plan of action of the National Black Catholic Congress (NBCC) and the goals and priorities of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).
