Once again, we are heartbroken by another horrific school shooting that has claimed the lives of innocent children and adults, this time in Uvalde, Texas. Our Catholic faith calls us to pray for those who have died and been injured. We join our prayers with those of the people of Uvalde and the Archdiocese of San Antonio. As we pray today, let us also search our minds and hearts for ways that we can reduce the evil of violence in order to protect the lives of all, especially innocent children, and alleviate the suffering of those who are victimized by these senseless acts. Mary, our Blessed Mother, please pray for us and for those who are suffering so terribly today.
