St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Westerville, OH, is a Catholic parish of 4,000 households committed to the New Evangelization from the Heart of the Church. We are enthusiastically Catholic and strive to be a parish that joyfully embraces “dynamic orthodoxy.” Our parish mission statement is “Inspired by Saint Paul, Centered on Christ, Called to Holiness,” and we are committed to living this mission through the singular purpose of forming missionary disciples of Jesus Christ. To this end, we are establishing the Coordinator of Adult Missionary Discipleship position. This position will report to the Director of Parish Ministry and provide support in the following areas:

 • Coordinator of Adult Faith Formation (AFF) throughout the parish: coordinate parish-wide efforts for the evangelization and catechesis of adults, with a special emphasis on adults between the ages of 30 and 50,

• Revitalize and support current parish ministries by prayerfully discerning sustainability, coordinating efforts, and accompanying/assisting lay volunteer leaders,

• Collaborate with PSR and Youth Ministry Staff in engaging whole families by providing intentional support, ministry, and materials to parents/guardians,

• Responsible for budgeting and managing expenses for the department.

Qualifications: This is an evolving position, and additional requirements may be necessary at the direction of the Director of Parish Ministry.

Knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Church and its mission is required, particularly regarding the parish and its vital role in a Christian’s personal relationship with Jesus Christ. A bachelor’s degree in theology, religious education, or equivalent is preferred, or equivalent experience in coordinating Adult Faith Formation programs.

Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church is required (background check, VIRTUS, adherence to Church teaching). Parish and/or diocesan ministry experience is strongly preferred. Individuals should be able to demonstrate familiarity with the various aspects of ministry and faith formation. Above all, the desired candidate must manifest a missionary disciple identity, be able to share their testimony of Christ, proclaim the kerygma, and form other disciples.

Job-Related Skills: Experience in ecclesial/ministerial work, including familiarity with Church structures and systems, experience collaborating with clergy/staff/volunteers, and possessing exceptional interpersonal skills such as listening, conflict resolution, collaboration, written/oral communication, effective platform skills, and presence. The willingness to meet people where they are in their faith journey and guide them in the authentic teaching of the Faith without compromise is required. The candidate must be capable of serving on a team, coordinating teams, and being effective through others. The candidate needs to be well-organized and self-motivated.
